Coach Jorge Sampaoli will have the entire week to prepare his team. Bruno Henrique and Ayrton Lucas, who received their third yellow cards in the derby against Botafogo, will be out for the match against the Paraná team. Arrascaeta, Luiz Araújo, and Varela are still recovering from their respective injuries.
The Red-Blacks are coming off a significant 2-1 victory over Botafogo at Nilton Santos Stadium. Bruno Henrique hit a beautiful shot into the top corner that sealed Mengão's victory, ending the Black-and-Whites' unbeaten streak at home.
After the game against Athletico-PR, Mais Querido will face the first leg of the Copa do Brasil final against São Paulo, which takes place on Sunday (17), at 16 pm, at Maracanã.
