After the setback against Athletico-PR, Flamengo returned this Monday morning (8), at Ninho do Urubu, and began preparing for the match against Goiás, which takes place next Wednesday (10), at 20 pm, at Maracanã, for the fifth round of the Brasileirão.

The starters who started last Sunday's game did regenerative work in the gym, while the others carried out tactical activity on the field under the command of coach Jorge Sampaoli.

Goalkeeper Santos, who suffered a severe knee to the face and had to be substituted, underwent tests that revealed no fracture. Midfielder Thiago Maia was diagnosed with a quadriceps injury in his right leg and has already begun treatment.

Another confirmed absence for the match against Goiás is striker Gabi, who received his third yellow card in the match against Athletico. Pedro, on the other hand, participated normally in the training session and has a chance of being included in the squad for Wednesday. The Rubro-Negro team has only three points in the Brasileirão and is looking for its second victory in the competition.
