Flamengo returned to training on Friday afternoon (5), at Ninho do Urubu, after receiving four days off, and began preparing for the rest of the season. Rubro-Negro returns to the field on September 14 to face Juventude, at 16 pm, at Alfredo Jaconi, for the 23rd round of the Brasileirão.

With the FIFA World Cup break, coach Filipe Luís will have the week off to work with the team ahead of upcoming matches. Players Samuel Lino, Arrascaeta, Varela, Viña, Plata, and Carrascal are representing their respective national teams in the final two rounds of the World Cup qualifiers. They return to the club next week. 

The red-black squad returns to training this Saturday morning (6), at CT George Helal. Mengão leads the Brazilian Championship with 47 points, three more than Cruzeiro and with one game less. For the Libertadores, the red-black team faces Estudiantes (ARG) on September 18, at 21:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the first leg of the quarterfinals.
