After two days off, Flamengo returned to training this Wednesday morning (12) at Ninho do Urubu and began preparations for the match against Sport next Saturday (15), at 18:30 pm, at Arena de Pernambuco, in a delayed game from the 12th round of Brasileirão.

This will be the last free week for training this year, where coach Filipe Luís will be able to fine-tune the team for the final stretch of the season. It's worth remembering that, in addition to being in the fight for the Brazilian title, Flamengo will also be playing in the Conmebol Libertadores final on November 29th against Palmeiras in Lima, Peru.

Since this week is a FIFA international break, seven players are on international duty with their respective national teams. They are: Alex Sandro, Danilo, Carrascal, Plata, Arrascaeta, Varela, and Viña. All of them will be unavailable for the game against Sport.

Following this morning's activity, the club updated the press bulletin with the situation of each athlete who is in the medical department:

Allan

The player is recovering from plantar fasciitis and continues treatment with Flamengo's medical department.

Jorginho

The midfielder is working on the field with the physiotherapy and physical conditioning teams.

Leo Ortiz

Still experiencing lingering pain in his ankle after suffering an injury to the area, the defender is following the recovery plan established by the club's medical department.

Pedro

Due to the good progress of the situation, the striker has advanced to the final stage of his fracture rehabilitation. This Wednesday (12), already with a new and shorter immobilization, he resumed partial activities with the group, in exercises still without direct confrontation. The recovery program continues as planned by Flamengo's medical department.

Flamengo returns to training this Thursday (13). The following day, the squad will have a morning activity and travel to Recife in the afternoon. With 68 points, Flamengo can regain the Brasileirão lead in this round. For this to happen, they just need to beat Sport and hope for a slip-up from Palmeiras, who face Santos at Vila Belmiro.
