Flamengo returned to the field this Thursday morning (5), at Ninho do Urubu, after a three-day rest due to the free week due to the FIFA date. The Mais Querido will only return to the field next Thursday (12) to face Bahia, for the second leg of the Copa do Brasil, which will be played at Maracanã.
Coach Tite carried out tactical work with the players to prepare them during the week without games. Striker Gonzalo Plata trained with the squad for the first time and is now available for the next Brasileirão match, against Vasco, on September 15th.
Pedro is already in Rio de Janeiro. The striker has been evaluated by the club's medical department and is awaiting a date for surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
While the red-black team prepares for its upcoming matches, athletes Gerson, Varela and Erick Pulgar are representing their respective teams in the World Cup Qualifiers.
