Flamengo continues its preparation for the challenges of the second half of the season. In Portugal, the Rubro-Negro is holding a pre-season training camp in the Algarve region, focusing on regaining match fitness, improving physical and tactical aspects, and preparing the team for the remainder of the season.
The Flamengo delegation departed for the European country on June 28th and will remain in Portugal until July 12th. During this period, the squad will have two training bases: the first in Lagos, between June 29th and July 5th, and then in Estoi, where they will stay until their return to Brazil.
Under the leadership of coach Leonardo Jardim, Flamengo will have an intense schedule of activities. The program also includes three international friendlies, opportunities for the team to gain playing time and test different formations against high-level opponents.
The first match will be against River Plate of Argentina on July 3rd at 19:30 PM local time (15:30 PM Brasília time). Following that, Flamengo will face Lausanne-Sport of Switzerland on July 8th at 20:30 PM (16:30 PM Brasília time). The final match of their pre-season will be against Benfica of Portugal on July 11th at 19:30 PM (15:30 PM Brasília time). All matches will be played at the Algarve Stadium.
With a structure designed to combine high-level training and matches, Flamengo seeks to take advantage of its time in Portugal to return to Brazil even better prepared for the commitments of the second half of the year.
