Flamengo continues to pay tribute to the 1981 team with the launch of its second jersey

Flamengo is getting a new second kit this season. The jersey design once again celebrates the 40th anniversary of the 1981 team, especially the legendary victory in Yokohama, Japan.

The second jersey is a reinterpretation of the jersey worn by the 11 players who took the field on that historic December 13th. Predominantly white, the jersey features details that evoke various elements of the victory, such as the vulture, the club's mascot, in an origami version—a traditional Japanese art—and a special mascot patch on the back of the neck. The sleeves and shorts are red and feature special graphics that also pay homage to the unforgettable moment.

For the launch campaign, adidas and Flamengo bring inspiration from Brazil and Japan through Japanese-style graphics and illustrations, with narration and exclusive music by Marcelo D2 – a Flamengo fan who explores Rio de Janeiro music, including samba, rap and funk.

For R$279,99 in the adult version, Flamengo's second-place jersey arrives first in adidas.com.br/flamengo, loja.flamengo.com.brloja.mercadolivre.com.br/flamengo, adidas stores and official club stores this Friday (14). From May 21, the long-awaited new Mantle will be available in all stores.
