Flamengo continues preparations to face Coritiba

Flamengo returned to training on Friday morning (18), at Ninho Urubu, and continued preparing for the next match. In the opening of the second half of the Brazilian Championship, Mengão faces Coritiba on Sunday (20), at 16 pm, at Couto Pereira stadium, in search of three points to get closer to the competition leaders.

Coach Jorge Sampaoli led a tactical training session to determine the starting lineup. After Saturday's training session, the red-and-black squad travels to Curitiba, the site of Sunday's match.

Flamengo and Coritiba have faced each other 64 times, with Mengão having the advantage. Flamengo has won 33 times, drawn 11 times, and won 20 times for the Paraná team. In the last meeting between the teams, Coritiba won 3-0 at Maracanã in last year's Brazilian Championship. Ayrton Lucas, Gabi, and Pedro scored the goals.
