Flamengo has 4 players called up to represent the Brazilian National Team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Flamengo athletes will represent Brazil in the world's premier national team tournament; the group includes experienced players and products of the club's youth academy.

The call for applicationsAnnounced by coach Carlo Ancelotti this Monday (18), it featured 4 players from the Flamengo squad, which consolidates Flamengo as the club that has provided the most players to the Brazilian National Team this year and as the third largest supplier in the history of the Seleção in the history of the World Cups, now with 39 names.

ALEX SANDRO

Alex Sandro is among those called up for Brazil's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The left-back joined Flamengo in 2024 and, since then, has played 77 matches for the club, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

For the Brazilian National Team, our number 26 has accumulated 43 games and two goals, in addition to participating in the 2022 World Cup and two editions of the Copa América, in 2019 and 2021.

DANILO

Another representative of Flamengo's defensive system in the squad is Danilo. Our number 13 will compete in another FIFA World Cup in his career, having already participated in the 2018 and 2022 editions.

With acFor Flamengo, Danilo has played 49 matches, scored five goals and provided two assists. One of his most memorable goals was the one that secured the 2025 Libertadores title for Flamengo.

For the Brazilian National Team, the player has accumulated 68 games and one goal, in addition to participating in the last two World Cups and two editions of the Copa América (2021 and 2024).


LEO PEREIRA

Defender Léo Pereira is having another outstanding season with the Sacred Mantle (Flamengo's jersey) and was one of the players selected to represent Brazil at the FIFA World Cup. Since arriving at Flamengo in 2020, the number 4 has played 304 matches, scored 18 goals and provided four assists for the club.

Léo Pereira has played two matches for the Brazilian national team.

LUCAS PAQUETÁ

A product of Flamengo's youth academy, Lucas Paquetá will also represent the club in the Brazilian National Team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Wearing the red and black jersey, Paquetá has played 117 games, scored 25 goals and provided seven assists since 2018, across his two spells at the club. 

For Brazil, the midfielder has accumulated 61 games and 12 goals, in addition to appearances in the 2022 World Cup and the Copa América tournaments of 2019, 2021 and 2024.
