Flamengo's director and vice president of football in 1992, Vinícius França is the new vice president of football for the Rubro-Negro. The official announcement was made late Friday afternoon (July 16.07), in Gávea, by president Patricia Amorim and executive director of football, Zico.

"He was unanimously chosen by the board. This is more good news. He has Zico's approval and is a wonderful person. It's an honor to be alongside these two. Vinícius is a witness to these glorious years, and I leave football in the hands of these two wonderful people," said the president.

Patricia Amorim also praised Zico's work leading the club. According to her, the new executive director's dedication is a benchmark for the club.

"The relationship has been extraordinary. His dedication is moving and incredible for Flamengo. We're going to try to relive our best times, and Zico is a model of what we want for the club," he added.
