Coach Rogério Lourenço will be without the same team that drew with Vitória away from home in the last round of the Brasileirão and beat Universidad de Chile in the Libertadores. The coach will be without two key players in the red-and-black squad, as Adriano and Petkovic experienced muscle pain and were sent to the medical department.

The Emperor reported to the club at Ninho do Urubu on Saturday afternoon (May 22.05) and spoke with one of Flamengo's doctors. With pain in his left thigh, he was ruled out of the game against Grêmio Barueri. Petkovic also felt pain in his right thigh and was ruled out of the match as well.

"Adriano and Pet spoke with the club's doctors, as they complained of thigh pain. They will not face Grêmio Prudente and, therefore, I have not yet decided on the team's lineup," said Rogério Lourenço.

Flamengo's coach also said that everyone in the squad has a chance of playing in the match against the São Paulo team.

"I haven't finalized the lineup yet. I'll do that today and tomorrow. Besides them, we don't have Fierro and Maldonado. However, we have a strong squad and everyone has been dedicated in training. Everyone can get a chance," said Rogério, who doesn't intend to make many changes.

"The intention is to maintain the same foundation as the last two games. We'll have these changes, but without changing the team's structure too much, as it performed very well," concluded the coach.
