Flamengo tests several variations for Sunday's game
Renato reveals that Rogério Lourenço should only decide how the team will play on the eve of the match

There are many variations of tactical schemes in football: 442, 352, 4321, 4132... And coach Rogério Lourenço has been testing several of them with the Flamengo team before Sunday's match (August 22.08) against Atlético-PR. The coach has already made it clear that he doesn't like to change his team's formation too much, but he also warned that it's important to have several options for possible situations that may arise in the game.
"We've been working on tactics, but nothing's been decided yet. Rogério will only decide on Saturday. We're working on strengthening the defense and also testing other variations to use in games," explained supporter Renato.
Recently signed, the number 11 believes the team still needs more chemistry. According to him, even with experienced players, this kind of understanding takes time to develop. However, it can't take too long for the team to perform at its best.
"There's still a lack of chemistry, and that will only improve with training. Things don't happen overnight. The team has experienced players, but it doesn't happen that way. Of course, we can't take too long, but we're striving for perfection as quickly as possible," said the player, who believes the Rubro-Negro can return from Curitiba with all three points.
"Playing at the Arena, against Atlético, is difficult. Flamengo has a taboo of not winning there for some time and we'll try to have some tricks up our sleeves so as not to be surprised," he added.
