Flamengo works on finishing at Ninho do Urubu

After starting the day with intense physical training, Flamengo players worked on their technical skills on Wednesday afternoon (November 24.11) at Ninho do Urubu. While many Flamengo fans could have expected tactical training to get a first idea of the team that will face Cruzeiro on Sunday (November 28.11) in Volta Redonda, coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo chose to, once again, place special emphasis on finishing.
The attacking and midfield players worked extensively on shooting and heading goals, with the full-backs and midfielders creating scoring opportunities. For the defenders, there was defensive training. The activity concluded the two-day training session at the training center. The team will train again on Thursday (November 25.11), only in the afternoon. Luxa will then lead tactical training. After that, the group will head to Volta Redonda.
Striker Deivid continued receiving treatment separately from his teammates due to a right ankle injury. The number 99 is expected to be able to participate in Thursday's training session as normal. However, he remains doubtful for Sunday's match against the Minas Gerais team.
