After a vigorous morning training session, the Flamengo squad returned to training in the afternoon at Granja Comary in Teresópolis. Cuca led a training session to prepare for Sunday's Brazilian Championship match against Internacional.

The additions were midfielders Petkovic and Alex Cruz. The Serbian had to travel to Argentina to obtain a work visa and have his documents regularized with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Alex was reinstated to the squad.

Cuca divided the squad into three teams, which faced each other on a small field. The goal of the activity was to practice ball handling, marking, and movement.
