Before traveling to Recife, where they face Sport this Sunday (30.08), at 16 pm, at Arena Pernambuco, Flamengo players trained on Friday afternoon (28.08), at the George Helal Training Center. Flamengo coach Oswaldo de Oliveira led technical work with the players.

Find out how to support Flamengo in Recife.

After warming up on field two, the athletes moved to field one. Activities began with technical training. With the field reduced, the players who didn't participate in the match against Vasco last Wednesday (August 26.08) were divided into two teams. With each athlete only allowed two touches of the ball, the activity included no shots. A goal was scored when a team exchanged ten consecutive passes without losing possession.

Next, Oswaldo de Oliveira changed the training session. With one team consisting of full-backs, midfielders, and forwards, and the other consisting of defensive midfielders, center-backs, and wing-backs, the coach used half the pitch for the second activity. The offensive team was supposed to shoot at Paulo Victor's goal, while the other team was supposed to steal the ball and bring it to the center circle. At the start of the activity, the coach emphasized speed when coming out of defense. On the other half of the pitch, Cesar practiced exiting the goal and passing the ball back with coach Wagner Miranda.

At the end of the training session, specific activities were performed. Alan Patrick, Ayrton, and Luiz Antonio worked on free kicks. Defender Rafael Dumas did specific physical training with trainer Ricardo Henriques. In the other goal, part of the squad practiced quick attacking plays down the wing.
