Flamengo trains tactically at Ninho do Urubu

Silas led an activity that was closed to the press this Saturday at the CT

Flamengo's squad completed its preparations for Sunday's match (September 04.09) against Santos at Maracanã this Saturday (September 05.09). Coach Silas led a closed-door tactical training session for the press at Ninho do Urubu. When reporters were allowed access to the training session, the players were already playing the traditional "rachão" (soccer kick). Afterwards, the coach also worked on set pieces and aerial balls.

Silas remains tight-lipped about the lineup that will start against Santos, who will be without some of their key players, including Ganso, who is injured, and Neymar, as well as Robinho, André, and Wesley, who were traded. Recently signed Keirrison, however, is expected to play, and the Flamengo coach doesn't believe the match will be any easier due to the absences from the Baixada Santista team.

"With Inter's rise and Fluminense's good form, everyone's eyes are on other teams. Santos didn't play well against Avaí, but they won. That's four straight wins. We can't be confident it will be easy due to the absence of Ganso, Neymar, Robinho, or André. We need all the attention we have for the game," he said.
