On Tuesday morning (06), the red-and-black squad had the last training session for the next challenge in the Brazilian Championship, against Ponte Preta. Zé Ricardo led tactical work focused on the opponent, defining the Mais Querido's game plan for the match. Next, it was time for offensive set pieces training, with the preparation of rehearsed plays, and defensive training, focusing on the positioning of the players inside the box. Finally, the group held the famous "rachão" (soccer game), won by the green team.

After warm-ups with the ball and physical training, the group began tactical training, in an activity closed to the press. Zé Ricardo briefed the players on Ponte Preta's strengths and weaknesses, defining the team's game plan for the match. The coach also guided the group on offensive and defensive positioning, seeking a quick recovery due to the São Paulo team's playing style.

Next came set pieces. A considerable portion of the training session was dedicated to this fundamental, to fine-tune the players' positioning. Immediately after the activity ended, recreational work took place, consisting of a kickabout played on a reduced-size pitch, with the green vest team winning.

Flamengo travels this afternoon to Espírito Santo, where they will face Ponte Preta in the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship this Wednesday (07). The match will be played at the Kléber Andrade Stadium, in Cariacica, and will start at 21:45 pm.
