Andrade led a technical activity for the red-black squad.
By Flamengo Archive - inFlamengo's squad returned to training on Wednesday afternoon at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center in Vargem Grande. The red-and-black team is preparing for its next Brazilian Championship challenge on Sunday against leaders Palmeiras at Palestra Itália.
With an eye on the match, coach Andrade led a training session for the red-and-black squad. The players were divided into four teams, which faced each other on a reduced-size field. Álvaro, suffering from knee pain, underwent physical therapy and will be re-evaluated to see if he's fit to face the São Paulo team.
After training, midfielder Toró, who is expected to start on Sunday, said he expects a very competitive duel against the green and white team.
"It's going to be a tough game, we all know that. It's always very difficult to face Palmeiras at home. But we're in good form and want to keep it up. The important thing is to stay calm, because we're capable of putting in a good performance in São Paulo."
