Flamengo traveled to Espírito Santo to meet their red-and-black fans again and did not disappoint the nation. The team thrashed Desportiva Ferroviária 4-0 at the Kleber Andrade stadium, and now focuses on the duel against Figueirense, this Wednesday (14.10), at 21 pm. César Martins, Emerson, Matheus Sávio and Douglas Baggio scored the goals for the Most Beloved in the World.

With a strong presence from Flamengo fans at the Kleber Andrade stadium, Flamengo started the match under pressure from Desportiva, who were trying to upset the Mais Querido. Paulo Victor had to make important saves in the third and 15th minutes of the first half, but Flamengo responded with quick plays between Emerson, Kayke, and Paulinho. In the 18th minute, César Martins pounced on the rebound after the "Sheik" challenged goalkeeper Felipe and scored the first.

Soon after, the number 11 controlled the ball in the box and held it. With his vast experience, the striker managed to win a penalty and, in the 24th minute, scored the Mais Querido's second goal of the match. Flamengo had other opportunities to extend their lead, but went into halftime with the score unchanged. Upon the restart, coach Oswaldo de Oliveira made eleven substitutions.

Just eight minutes in, Matheus Sávio controlled the ball and finished with skill, leaving Felipe with no chance. In the 20th minute, Gabriel made a beautiful play in midfield and passed to Douglas Baggio. The center forward coolly finished for the Rubro-Negro's fourth. It was his first goal for the club's senior team. Leading on the scoreboard, the team knew how to pass the ball around and capitalize on the fans' celebration, who enjoyed the Rubro-Negro's presence until the final minute.
