The round is not over yet, but it is a fact that they let Flamengo arrive. With the victory achieved over Atlético-PR this Saturday (6), with a beautiful backheel goal from Mancuello, Mais Querido sleeps at the top of the Brasileirão with 34 points and firmer than ever in the fight for the top positions in the championship.

The game
In the first half, the game was open, and both teams created numerous chances. Flamengo dominated and kept a close eye on their opponents' ball, with their best chance coming from a Walter crossbar in the 14th minute. The red-and-blacks' first chance came in the opening seconds of the match, with Fernandinho. In the seventh minute, Mancuello unleashed a dangerous free kick into Santos' corner. Zé Ricardo's team narrowly avoided opening the scoring in the 39th minute, with Réver's shot following a rebound from the Argentine midfielder's corner.
In the second half, the red-and-blacks pressed even harder. Before the clock had even reached ten minutes of play, Flamengo had already threatened at least four times: a header from Guerrero just wide of the post, a powerful shot from Fernandinho, a near-slide from Willian Arão, and an unbelievable challenge from the Peruvian one-on-one with the goalkeeper. But in the 16th minute, the nation unleashed the goal cry that had been lingering in its throat—and with style. Mancuello received a low cross from Fernandinho, shook off his marker, and slotted home the only goal of the match.
