On Tuesday afternoon (26), Flamengo played a training match against Bangu and won by a score of 1-0. Thiago Santos scored the goal that decided the match, with a precise finish after a good play by Éverton. Only the athletes who did not play the full 90 minutes against América-MG last Monday (25) participated in the match. The other players carried out regenerative training at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA).

After a first half of intense competition for space and strong marking, Flamengo managed to impose its style of play in the second half. Early on, Éverton brought the ball from the left to the center of the pitch and passed it to Thiago Santos at the edge of the box. The winger beat the defender and fired a powerful shot over the goalkeeper to open the scoring. With the advantage, the Mais Querido's performance improved even further, and good chances were created, but they were thwarted by a strong defensive performance from the team from Rio's west zone.

The match featured two of the club's new signings for the season. Argentine defender Donatti played the entire first half, and center forward Leandro Damião participated in the second half. Due to the absence of Jorge and Chiquinho, Éverton and Rafael Vaz played at left back in the first and second halves, respectively.

The group returns to CT George Helal this Thursday (28) to begin preparations for next Sunday's (31) clash against Coritiba. The match will be played at Couto Pereira Stadium and will start at 16 pm.
