THREE-TIME CHAMPION! In the Rio derby that decided the Supercopa Rei, Flamengo defeated Botafogo 3-1 this Sunday (2), at the Mangueirão stadium, in Belém, and won the third title of the competition (PA). The black and white team's executioner, Bruno Henrique, scored two goals, and Luiz Araújo completed the scoring. Mengão played with authority and imposed itself on the opponent during the 90 minutes.

The game
Flamengo started the match looking to attack. Just two minutes in, they created their first chance. Wesley delivered a dangerous low cross, and Michael tried a sliding tackle, but couldn't reach the ball and crashed into the post.

In the ninth minute, Mengão was awarded a penalty. Lucas Halter tackled Bruno Henrique, and the referee signaled the foul. The number 27 himself stepped up to take the penalty and struck hard into the left corner. John managed to touch the ball, but couldn't prevent the goal: 1-0.

Around the 15th minute, the match was halted due to heavy rain in Belém. After a 1-hour and 12-minute stoppage, play resumed, with Flamengo on the attack. Four minutes later, Mengão extended their lead again through Bruno Henrique, who scored a stunning goal! Plata headed the ball to Michael, who found the number 27 at the edge of the box. He hit a beautiful shot, leaving John with no chance: 2-0.

As the game progressed, Botafogo tried to attack more, but the red-and-black defense was solid and managed to neutralize their attacks. In stoppage time, Danilo came on for Léo Pereira and made his debut with the Sacred Mantle. Mengão managed the result and left the field with their third Super Cup title!
