Flamengo's players, coaching staff, and board spent the week affirming that fan support would be crucial to their victory over Náutico at Maracanã this Saturday in the Brazilian Championship, and it was no different. Cheered on by their fans throughout the 90 minutes, the team struggled but came from behind to win 2-1 and begin their recovery in the competition.

The goals were scored by debutant Fábio Luciano and full-back Leonardo Moura. Náutico opened the scoring with Felipe. Flamengo returns to action next Thursday in the derby against Fluminense at Maracanã.

The game began with Flamengo marking their opponents before they reached midfield. However, when they recovered possession, the team couldn't create any chances to open the scoring. On the contrary, the first opportunity they had, Náutico opened the scoring: Felipe received the ball in the box, spun around Ronaldo Angelim's marking, and fired a poor shot. The ball hit Cristian and deceived goalkeeper Bruno.

The goal left the red-and-black team tense. What had been territorial dominance turned into poor passing, which left the fans impatient. Even so, the team managed to equalize. In the 25th minute, Juan took a free kick from the edge of the box, and debutant Fábio Luciano beat the Pernambuco defense with a beautiful header: 1-1.

The draw restored Flamengo's composure, and scoring chances began to be created and missed. Roger, with a beautiful left-footed pass, and Ibson, with a left-footed shot into the top corner, saved by goalkeeper Eduardo, created danger.

The biggest opportunity, however, came in the 43rd minute: Léo Moura found Cristian running free into the box on the left and fed the midfielder, who fired a shot that was beautifully saved by Eduardo. Cristian himself headed the ball off the post on the rebound. The ball fell back to Ibson, who also headed it wide with an open goal. Cornered, Náutico only threatened with a shot from Deleu.

Flamengo came back strong in the second half, creating chances through Renato Augusto and Cristian in the first five minutes. Still improving, they continued to create opportunities and further increased their performance with the introduction of Biancucci in the 16th minute.

Very spirited and with good technical quality, the Argentine striker fought hard and came close to scoring the winning goal in the 25th minute, when he made a beautiful play and shot for Eduardo to save with his feet.

Flamengo kept pressing, missing opportunities with Roger, Leonardo, and Ibson until the suffering ended in the 42nd minute: Roger delivered a spectacular pass to Léo Moura, who cut in from the right and slotted past Eduardo. In the final minutes, the team held on to their lead and celebrated with the more than 34 fans who sang the anthem in unison.
