In the second leg of the round of 1 of the Copa do Brasil, Flamengo beat ABC 0-5 on Thursday night (XNUMX), at Arena das Dunas, in Natal-RN. João Gomes scored the winning goal for the red-black team and further consolidated Mengão's place in the quarterfinals of the competition.

The game
The match began with ABC taking the initiative to attack, but Flamengo had the first chance to threaten. In the ninth minute, Welligton misplayed the ball, Ramon headed it, and the ball found Pedro. The striker attempted a touch over the top, but his shot went wide.

Little by little, the red-and-black team began passing the ball from foot to foot and getting more forward. In the 23rd minute, Pedro made a good play and backheeled the ball to Michael, who unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box. The goalkeeper jumped to the right corner and put it out for a corner. Rodinei then led a counterattack and passed to Thiago Maia, who burst into the box and crossed the ball wide.

With the victory, Flamengo secured their place in the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil and now awaits their next opponent, who will be known this Friday (6) after a draw at the CBF headquarters, at 15 pm.
