In the second leg of the round of 3 of the Copa do Brasil, Flamengo beat Athletico-PR 2-04 on Wednesday night (06), at Maracanã. The goals of Mais Querido were scored by Pedro (twice) and Michael. With the result, Mengão advanced to the next stage of the competition and awaits the draw for the quarterfinals, which will take place this Friday (XNUMX), to find out their opponent.

The game
The match began with Flamengo seeking to maintain possession, exchanging passes in midfield to create space in Athletico's defense. The team from Paraná, in turn, struggled to get the ball out of the box due to the team's strong marking.

In the 23rd minute, Mengão opened the scoring! Arão found Matheuzinho on the right, the full-back crossed to Pedro inside the box, who won the challenge with Thiago Heleno, set up a left-footed pass, and slotted it into the top right corner of Santos' goal: 1-0. Flamengo came back strong in the second half and quickly created a great chance through Pedro, but goalkeeper Santos was able to prevent the goal. With the majority of possession, Flamengo passed the ball from foot to foot to build attacking plays. In the 31st minute, VAR disallowed Thiago Maia's goal.

After so much persistence, Mengão scored their third goal! Bruno Henrique exchanged passes with Lincoln and fired a low shot that Santos saved.
