By Flamengo Archive - inFlamengo regained its winning ways in the Brazilian Championship, defeating Atlético-PR 1-0 this Saturday at Maracanã. Jailton scored the only goal for Flamengo with a header. The result left Flamengo in seventh place with 31 points.
The Gávea team took the field with Jailton in defense, Airton in midfield, and Maxi and Paulo Sérgio in attack. Flamengo had the first good chance of the game, with Paulo Sérgio shooting straight at the defense.
Atlético-PR responded in the 17th minute. Alan Bahia took a free kick, and Márcio Azavedo headed it against Bruno's crossbar. Ten minutes later, Maxi burst into the box from the left and fired a powerful shot, forcing Galatto to make a good save. The first half ended in a scoreless draw.
In the second half, Caio Júnior took off Paulo Sérgio and brought on Éder. The Gávea team improved, but it was the team from Paraná who threatened, with Ferreira experimenting from outside the box.
