In the fifth round of the Cariocão, Flamengo beat Audax 2-1 on Thursday night (10), at Raulino de Oliveira. Mengão's goals were scored by Gabi and Thomás (own goal). With the result, Mais Querido reaches 10 points and rises to third place in the championship.

The game
Flamengo started the match working the ball forward. The first clear chance came in the seventh minute. Arrascaeta entered the opponent's box and rolled the ball back, Gabi shot a shot, and the goalkeeper jumped to the corner to make the save. In the 16th minute, after a good exchange of passes, the ball reached Thiago Maia at the edge of the box, who fired a shot over the crossbar.

The Mais Querido dominated the attacking play, but struggled to penetrate the Audax box, which closed in on the defense to exploit counterattacks. In the 34th minute, Pedro charged down the left, dribbled past his marker, and struck a powerful shot for Max to palm away for a corner.

In stoppage time, Mengão opened the scoring! Lázaro made a good run down the left and passed to Gabi, also on the wing, without an angle. Even so, the striker sent a sharp shot, and the ball went into the goalkeeper's left corner: 1-0.

Early in the second half, Audax pushed up their lines and marked Flamengo's ball out of their own half. This left Flamengo struggling to get the ball out of play. In the 8th minute, Flamengo extended their lead! Andreas took a free kick from the left and sent it into the box; defender Thomás tried to clear it and sent it into his own net: 2-0.

After the timeout, Lázaro charged down the left wing, burst into the box, and fired a cross-shot. The ball sailed just wide of the post. In the 27th minute, Audax pulled one back through Hugo Sanches, who capitalized on a defensive blunder to make it 2-1.

In the 34th minute, Gabi provided a beautiful assist to Pedro, who found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and flicked the ball over the bar, but Lucas Rocha cleared it off the line. In the final minutes, Flamengo managed to control the result and regained victory in the Cariocão.
