Flamengo is in the semifinals of the 2016 Campeonato Carioca. With a 3-0 victory over Bangu in Macaé, the Red-Blacks secured the final spot and will face Vasco da Gama in a single match. The match will take place next week, with the date and location yet to be announced by FERJ. Before that, however, Mengão faces Confiança on Wednesday in Volta Redonda in the second leg of the first phase of the Copa do Brasil.
