Mengão won again. With a great collective performance, the "Mais Querido" defeated Barcelona (EQU) this Wednesday, 3-0, at Maracanã, in the second round of the CONMEBOL Libertadores group stage. Gustavo Henrique, Gabigol, and Bruno Henrique scored the goals for the Rubro-Negro, who maintain a 100% record: two games and two wins. 

The game

It was all Flamengo from the start, but the score took a while to break the 0-0 deadlock. The first goal came in the 37th minute. Everton Ribeiro crossed into the box and Gustavo Henrique, unmarked, headed home: 1-0. In the 44th minute, Gabigol extended the lead with a penalty. Today was a good one!

In the second half, Mengão maintained their blistering pace. In the 7th minute, Arrascaeta took a corner kick into the box and Bruno Henrique headed the ball into the net: 3-0 and a celebration for the nation, which packed the Maracanã stadium. The chances to score continued to come, but it remained that way.

Flamengo returns to action on Saturday to face Portuguesa (RJ) in the Rio Cup. The match will be played at Maraca. In the Libertadores, their next match is away against Independiente Del Valle (EQU).
