Flamengo beat Chelsea in a comeback and move towards the round of 16 of the World Cup

In the second round of the Club World Cup, Flamengo came from behind to beat Chelsea 3-1 on Friday afternoon (20), at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Bruno Henrique, Danilo and Wallace Yan scored the goals in the giant red-black victory in the United States, putting the English in the wheel!

The game
The match began with Flamengo taking the initiative to attack. In the fourth minute, Ayrton Lucas took a shot from outside the box, but Sánchez made the save. The red-and-black team started very well, trying to control possession and giving Chelsea little space.
In the 12th minute, Chelsea opened the scoring on a counterattack. Wesley tried to play through to Erick Pulgar, but the ball bounced back to the full-back, who was unable to control it. Pedro Neto sped from the edge of the box and slotted past Rossi to make it 1-0.
Despite trailing, Flamengo continued to dominate the match, continuing to attack in search of an equalizer. In the 42nd minute, Flamengo created a great chance. Arrascaeta took a free kick to the far post, Gerson shot at goal, and Colwiil cleared it off the line. Flamengo went all out to equalize in the final minutes, but went into halftime trailing, despite having the upper hand at times.
At the start of the second half, Chelsea came back to dominate the attack. In the eighth minute, Flamengo created their best opportunity yet. Rossi passed to Gerson, but Reece James misjudged his clearance, and the number 8 advanced into the box. He dribbled past his defender and shot toward goal. The ball deflected off Reece James, but Plata tried to parry it but was unable to.

In the 15th minute, Gerson played a one-two with Bruno Henrique, who passed to Plata. The Ecuadorian dribbled past Gusto and struck hard at the center of the goal. Sánchez made a great save and sent the ball out for a corner. Soon after, Mengão equalized! Gerson crossed to the far post, Plata headed it in, and Bruno Henrique finished into the net: 1-1.
Brave and determined, Rubro-Negro turned the game around right away, to the delight of the nation! Erick Pulgar took a corner kick into the box, Bruno Henrique headed it in, and Danilo deflected it into the back of the net: 2-1.
Chelsea kicked off the ball and a few minutes later had a player sent off. Nicolas Jackson mistimed the ball and went in with a heel on Ayrton Lucas, earning a red card.
The Mais Querido capitalized on the one-man advantage, continued attacking, and scored the third goal with the brilliant Wallace Ian, who had just come on. Plata played a one-two with the Ninho youth product, entered the box, and shot toward goal. The ball fell to Wallace Yan, who slotted it home: 3-1. It was the number 64's fifth goal of the season.
In the final minutes, Flamengo controlled the result and secured a HUGE victory in the Club World Cup! With the victory, Mengão remains top of Group D with six points and is on track to qualify for the round of 16.
Bruno Henrique was named FIFA's player of the match. He came on in the second half and was instrumental in Mengão's comeback.
