Mengão is in the lead! With a stunning header from Willian Arão, Flamengo defeated Corinthians 1-0 in Itaquera and took the lead in the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil. The teams meet again on June 4th at Maracanã. Flamengo needs a draw to qualify for the quarterfinals.

First time

The first half was all about the red and black. Several chances were created. The best of them came from Léo Duarte. Arrascaeta's cross sent his header just wide of goalkeeper Cássio's goal. Everton Ribeiro also had a great chance after outsmarting the Corinthians defense, but his shot went straight at the goal, and Cássio saved it.

Second time

In the second half, Mais Querido's performance increased, especially after the 20th minute. With Diego's introduction, the team became more incisive and was rewarded with a goal in the 33rd minute. Bruno Henrique crossed, and Arão headed the ball into the net: 1-0 and a victory for Mais Querido.
