Flamengo defeated Corinthians 2-0 this Sunday in Campinas, moving closer to their sixth national title. With São Paulo's loss to Goiás, the red-and-black team reached 64 points and is the sole leader of the competition with one round remaining. Zé Roberto and Léo Moura scored the goals in the Gávea team's heroic victory. Next Sunday, Flamengo faces Grêmio at Maracanã, needing only a victory to celebrate another Brazilian title.

Flamengo played intelligently and was the better team throughout the match. In the fourth minute, Petkovic took a free kick into the box, and Álvaro headed it against the post.
