Qualified! In the second leg of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, Mengão beat Coritiba 2-0 this Wednesday (16), at Maracanã. Vitinho and Bruno Henrique scored the goals for Mais Querido. With the result, Mengão qualified for the round of 22 of the competition and awaits its opponent, who will be known next Tuesday (XNUMX) in a draw at the CBF.

The game
Flamengo started the match with their attacking style, and after just one minute, they created their first dangerous chance. Michael raced down the left, shot from outside the box, and the ball went just wide of the post. Bruno Henrique then broke through and set up Rodrigo Muniz, who burst into the box and tried to beat the goalkeeper, but the ball went wide.

The red-and-black team spent much more time in possession and exchanged passes in the attacking midfield to find space in Coritiba's defense. In the 26th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! Gerson made a beautiful play in the box from the left and crossed perfectly for Vitinho to head in and score the first goal for the red-and-black team: 1-0.

In the final stretch of the game, Fla still had some chances to score the third, but the match ended 2-0, with qualification guaranteed for the round of XNUMX of the Copa do Brasil.

Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Saturday (19) to face Bragantino, at 21 pm, at Maracanã. The game is valid for the fifth round of the Brasileirão.
