Flamengo defeated Duque de Caxias 4-2 this Wednesday in Volta Redonda, taking the lead in Group B of the Guanabara Cup with six points. Léo Moura, with two goals, was the highlight for Flamengo in the match. Juan and Josiel also scored for Flamengo. In the next round, the team from Gávea faces Tigres on Saturday at Maracanã.

From the start of the match, Flamengo's superiority was evident. Flamengo had the majority of possession and created several scoring opportunities. In the 10th minute, Josiel received the ball from Juan and shot dangerously. Eight minutes later, Everton Silva exchanged passes with Willians and crossed for Léo Moura, who slotted it wide. In the 19th minute, Ibson was fouled on the edge of the box. Juan fired a superb shot to score his second goal of the Campeonato Carioca: 1-0 Flamengo.

In the 11th minute, Léo Moura, the best player on the field, took a precise free kick and scored another: 4-0 Flamengo. After the fourth goal, Cuca made changes to the team, bringing on young Paulo Sérgio in place of Josiel and five-time champion Kleberson in place of Willians.

In the 28th minute, Ibson fouled Alan, received a second yellow card, and was sent off. Down ten men, coach Cuca replaced Everton Silva with Toró. In the 33rd minute, Edvaldo converted a penalty to make it 4-1 for Duque de Caxias in Volta Redonda. Three minutes later, Alan crossed and Edvaldo added another to make it 4-2.
