Flamengo defeats Eintracht Frankfurt to win the 2019 Florida Cup
Mais Querido counted on a goal from Jean Lucas to overcome the German team

The year is just beginning and Flamengo is already takingwon the cup. The Most Beloved defeated Eintracht Frankfurt-GER 1-0 and won the Florida Cup title on Saturday night (12). The Rubro-Negro was superior during the 90 minutes, had good chances and counted on a goal from Jean Lucas to overcome the German team. After the final whistle, midfielder Cuéllar was elected the best player on the field and took the trophy.
Even with the team still getting into the swing of the season, Flamengo put in strong performances and managed to impose its style against the Europeans. Striker Fernando Uribe was the competition's top scorer with his two goals against Ajax-HOL and won the Golden Boot. The number 20 received the award from star player Marta.
First time
The match in Orlando began with both teams closely studying each other and fighting for possession in midfield. The Germans even tried to infiltrate the red-and-black defense with one-twos and quick passes, but Piris da Motta and Ronaldo managed to mark well and deprive the opposing team of space.
