Flamengo finished the preseason undefeated! On Friday night (17), Flamengo beat Olimpia 4-2 at the Mané Garrincha stadium in Brasília, with goals from Pedro, Lorran, Bruno Henrique and Luiz Araújo. With this result, the team led by Leonardo Jardim finishes its preparation for the rest of the season with a campaign of three wins and one draw, arriving in good form for the return of the Brazilian Championship and the Libertadores.

The game

In the opening minutes of the match, Flamengo controlled the action, exchanging passes in the attacking third and dictating the pace of the game. Just three minutes in, the Rubro-Negro created their first big chance. Pedro made a beautiful pass to Samuel Lino, who found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and shot low. Oliveira made a great save, tipping the ball over the bar with his fingertips.

In the next play, Olimpia opened the scoring. After a counter-attack by the Paraguayan team, Delmas took advantage of the loose ball inside the area and sent it into the back of the net: 1-0. Even behind on the scoreboard, Flamengo maintained its offensive posture and continued to press in search of an equalizer.

The equalizer came in the 28th minute, with a goal from striker Pedro. Samuel Lino found the number 9 inside the area. Pedro controlled the ball on the left side and shot low. Goalkeeper Oliveira touched the ball, but couldn't prevent Flamengo from equalizing.

Driven on by the fans, Flamengo turned the game around just three minutes later. Samuel Lino received the ball on the right and passed it to Lorran at the edge of the box. The Flamengo youth academy product took a shot, the ball deflected slightly off the goalkeeper before finding the back of the net: 2-1.

There was still time for one more before halftime, and it was a spectacular goal. Lorran recovered the ball in the attacking half and passed to Bruno Henrique. The number 27 controlled the ball at the edge of the box and unleashed a spectacular shot into the top right corner of the goal to extend Flamengo's lead: 3-1.

Returning for the second half, Leonardo Jardim made four substitutions. Emerson Royal, Everton Cebolinha, Luiz Araújo, and Jorginho came on for Varela, Lorran, Bruno Henrique, and Erick Pulgar, respectively.

Olimpia pulled one back in the ninth minute. Johnny tried to chest the ball down for Rossi in the six-yard box, but Óscar Cardozo anticipated the play and volleyed it home to score the Paraguayan team's second goal.
