Cheered on by the red-and-black fans, who were in strong attendance and cheered the players on throughout the match, Flamengo debuted in the BH Junior Football Cup with a 3-0 victory over Palmeiras this afternoon in Uberaba, Minas Gerais. Diego Mauricio, Bruno Paulo, and João Vitor scored the goals in Flamengo's first victory in the competition.

The Gávea team returns to the field next Saturday to face Criciúma, in Uberlândia, in a match valid for Group E, which also includes Americano (MA), Uberaba (MG) and Uberlândia (MG).
