Flamengo fought hard and defeated Sport 2-1 this Sunday afternoon at Ilha do Retiro in Recife. Obina shone, scoring the goals that put the red-and-black team in sole command of the Brazilian Championship, with 19 points.

With the pitch being quite uneven, both teams struggled to exchange passes. Sport's first good chance fell in the eighth minute. Enílton played a one-two with Carlinhos Bala and shot dangerously at Bruno's goal. Flamengo responded in the 14th minute with Obina, but goalkeeper Magrão saved the northeastern team.
