Flamengo defeated Campo Grande 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon at their opponent's home ground in Rio de Janeiro's west zone. The match was part of the fifth round of the second half of the state championship.

The goals for the red-blacks, who occupied fourth place in the table until the start of the round, were scored by midfielder Ricardinho, midfielder Bruno and striker Edgar.

The team returns to the field next Wednesday, August 29, to face Boa Vista / Artsul, in Gávea.
