Before Monday's training session in Gávea, the Flamengo squad went to the Church of Saint Jude Thaddeus to give thanks and ask for protection in the club's upcoming games this season. President Márcio Braga also attended.

Midfielder Cristian recalled that it is always important to visit the Church of Saint Jude Thaddeus, the Club's Patron Saint.

"It's always good to ask for help from the man up there. We came here just to say thank you and ask that everything goes well for our group and that no one gets hurt in the games."
