Flamengo returns to training finishing at Ninho

Rogério Lourenço led one-on-one training this Thursday at CT

Finishing was once again the main focus of Flamengo's training on Thursday afternoon (19.08), at Ninho do Urubu. Coach Rogério Lourenço led another activity to work on his team's play definitions.

At the beginning of the week, he practiced aerial balls, then encouraged shots from outside the box, and this Thursday, the main skill to be refined was defining one-on-one plays. The idea is to work not only on finishing but also on dribbling toward goal. All players worked on both attacking and defending, regardless of position.

With the squad divided into pairs, the activity proceeded as follows: one player, with the ball, would sprint from midfield and face a defender, who would enter the dispute at the edge of the penalty area, and score a goal. Then, in another exercise, two players would wait for the goalkeeper's throw-in and compete for possession. Whoever gained control would attempt the shot.

This Friday (20.08), the squad returns to training at Ninho. The activity will be the Rubro-Negro's last before traveling to the south of the country. On Saturday (21.08), the team will train at CT Coritiba.
