After the victory over Caracas last Wednesday (10.03), Flamengo returned to Gávea on Friday afternoon (12.10). The players who started playing in Venezuela did physical activities, while the reserves and athletes who were not selected for the match played a collective exercise. The work ended in a 0-0 draw. The only absence was Vagner Love, released due to intestinal problems.

After the training session, coach Andrade held a press conference where he expressed his concerns about Sunday's derby against Vasco. However, he believes the red-and-blacks will not lack motivation. After all, the derby of millions is always one of the most anticipated matches for the players.

"Expectations are as high as possible. The team is motivated after the Libertadores win, and Flamengo and Vasco are a game that, in and of itself, is quite motivating. Since my time as a player, it's been the biggest derby in Rio de Janeiro football and it's always a pleasure to play," he said.

This could be Andrade's first victory as Flamengo coach over Vasco. Since taking over the team midway through last year, the teams have never met. And in the only meeting last season, Vasco prevailed (2-0). Despite this, the coach doesn't see any favorites in the match.

"Clássicos don't have favorites. They're always decided by the details. We're paying attention to Vasco. This game always has a different flavor, and both teams are preparing. The group is united and has proven that there's no crisis. We'll go for this result," he concluded.

Flamengo will train once more, this Saturday (13.10), at 15:30 pm, before facing Vasco da Gama, Sunday (14.10), at 19:30 pm, at Maracanã.
