This Saturday (20.06), Flamengo takes to the field for the eighth round of the Brasileirão. Maracanã will be the stage for a game that promises to be full of excitement and a full house, between the Mais Querido and Atlético-MG, at 16:30 pm.

Rubro-Negro is coming off two consecutive wins in the Brazilian Championship and is counting on the strength of the nation to achieve another strong result. Urubu and Galo have faced each other 103 times in history, with 41 wins for Rubro-Negro and 30 draws. The Mais Querido has scored 154 goals, compared to 143 for the Minas Gerais club.

The interstate derby was once a Brazilian championship decider. Flamengo's first national title in 1980 saw the teams face off, with the Mais Querido winning 3-2 thanks to Zico, Nunes, Adílio, and company.

The last time they faced each other at Maracanã in the Brazilian Championship, it was a remarkable match. Flamengo was recovering from a difficult situation and hosted Atlético-MG at home. The Minas Gerais club took the lead with a goal from Maicosuel. Preparation
After the victory over Coritiba, the second in a row in the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo gained strength and moved up the table and coach Christopher Borges and scorer of the game's goal, Eduardo, called on the fans for the match this Saturday (20.06).

The red-black cast re-presented on Monday afternoon (15.06) at the George Helal Training Center. The afternoon began with work in the gym and then Cristóvão Borges led technical training.
