In the 2019 Copa Libertadores, Flamengo and Internacional faced each other in the quarterfinals. In the first leg, Flamengo won 2-0 at Maracanã, with two goals from Bruno Henrique. In the second leg, a 1-1 draw at Beira Rio secured the Flamengo team a place in the semifinals.
