Flamengo informs that it has reached an agreement with Concessionária Maracanã SA to hold its debut in the CONMEBOL Libertadores Bridgestone at the Mario Filho stadium, on March 8th.

This announcement comes after a long process of technical evaluation of the feasibility of Maracanã hosting the game in question and, despite being a one-off agreement and having no relation to the ongoing negotiation process for the stadium concession, it demonstrates that Flamengo spares no effort to serve its immense fan base in the best possible way and that the viability of Maracanã depends directly on its involvement, in the same way that occurred in some matches after the Olympic Games.

Construction on the Ilha do Governador stadium is at an advanced stage, with the aim of opening it as soon as possible without sacrificing the safety and comfort of our most important asset: the fans.
