A draw in the next two games. That's what Flamengo needs to secure a spot in the Guanabara Cup semifinals and, at least for now, get a break from midweek matches. That's why the red-and-black team takes the field this Wednesday at 22 p.m. at Maracanã, looking for a positive result against Olaria. Unwilling to leave anything to chance, the team from Gávea remains focused even after their heroic victory over Fluminense.

Calm as ever, coach Andrade emphasizes the importance of the team maintaining the momentum they displayed in the second half of the derby against Fluminense. According to him, if the team consistently plays like that, they will go far throughout the season. However, he wants to see this type of performance not just in 45 minutes, but across an entire match, to convince himself he has the ideal team on his hands.

"We have to stay focused on the game against Olaria. The team played very well in the second half, but we need to have a more balanced performance and play well throughout the game so I can be sure that this is the ideal team," he said.

A winner in his playing career, the coach says he understands the natural relaxation the group may have after the classic and with qualification practically guaranteed, however, he guarantees that he spoke with his players to avoid this happening in the match later today.

"We can't let a surprise happen, and we know that. After a victory in a derby like this, it's natural to feel a bit relaxed. I know that, I was a player, but I spoke with the group to prevent that from happening, because it's so important that we secure this qualification quickly," he explained.

The Flamengo manager confirmed the lineup with Vinícius Pacheco replacing Petkovic, who is sidelined, and David replacing Álvaro, who is suspended. The young midfielder impressed in the Flamengo vs. Flu match and will start again. Willians also returns to the starting lineup. Additionally, newly signed Michael has been named in the squad and could play in the match, at least on the bench.

"Vinícius has played well in every game this year and gained the confidence he needs to play for Flamengo. He will have another opportunity to showcase his football skills," he added.

With this all confirmed, Flamengo will face Olaria with the following lineup: Bruno; Leonardo Moura, David, Ronaldo Angelim, and Juan; Toró, Willians, Kleberson, and Vinícius Pacheco; Vagner Love and Adriano. With 15 points and a 100% record, Flamengo leads Group A. To reach the semifinals of the first round this Wednesday, the red-and-black team only needs a draw. In the final round, the team faces Boavista at Raulino de Oliveira Stadium in Volta Redonda.
