In the 14th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo had another excellent performance and beat Corinthians 3-1 on Sunday afternoon (1), at Neo Química Arena. Mengão's goals were scored by Everton Ribeiro, Gustavo Henrique and Bruno Henrique. With this victory, the Mais Querido reached 24 points and is in fifth place in the league table.

The game
The "Mais Querido" (The Most Beloved) started the match by marking Corinthians' ball possession strongly. Just six minutes in, the red-and-black team opened the scoring with Everton Ribeiro's shot from outside the box: 1-0. With great possession, Flamengo continued to pressure their opponents to extend their lead.

In the 39th minute, Gustavo Henrique scored Flamengo's second. Arrascaeta lifted the ball from a corner kick, allowing the defender to rise and head it into the back of the net: 2-0. Four minutes later, Flamengo scored the third before halftime. Gabigol received the ball on the left, glanced at the box, and crossed to Bruno Henrique's head to extend Flamengo's lead even further: 3-0.

In the final stretch of the match, in the 43rd minute, Corinthians closed the gap. Vitinho pounced on the rebound and, from outside the box, unleashed a stunning shot. The ball deflected off Léo Pereira before going in: 3-1. Dominating the match throughout, especially in the first half, Corinthians put in another solid performance and left the field with the victory, their sixth in a row since coach Renato Gaúcho's arrival.
