In the 11th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo was defeated by RB Bragantino 4-0 on Thursday night (22), at the Nabi Abi Chedid stadium, in Bragança Paulista. The red-black team faces Santos next Sunday, at Vila Belmiro.

The game
The match began with both teams studying each other closely. Bragantino, playing at home, pushed forward more, applying the traditional initial pressure. Flamengo, on the other hand, struggled to exchange passes in the attacking half due to the São Paulo team's tight marking.

In the 34th minute, the red-and-black team created the first chance to score. Thiago Maia passed to Cebolinha on the left, who passed it forward for Gerson to cross into the box. Pedro struck first time, but the ball went over the goal.

In the 40th minute, Bragantino turned their superiority into a goal, opening the scoring in Bragança Paulista. Following a corner, Eduardo rose higher than the Flamengo defense and scored with a header: 1-0. The first half ended with Flamengo down.

At the start of the second half, Bragantino extended their lead with Henry Mosquera, who hit a beautiful shot from outside the box: 2-0.

Flamengo tried to respond and narrowly missed scoring their first goal. Thiago Maia made a good tackle in midfield and passed to Wesley on the right, who played the ball to the edge of the box. Pedro set up a cutback, and Arrascaeta fired a well-placed shot. The ball grazed the post before going out.

In the 30th minute, Bragantino scored their third goal through Alerrando, who took advantage of a slack defense to score the third. Five minutes later, Bragantino added their fourth through Henry Mosquera, who scored his second goal and sealed the victory.

Next appointment
Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Sunday (25) to face Santos, at 18:30 pm, at Vila Belmiro, for the 12th round of the Brasileirão.
