In a game valid for the 12th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo drew 1-1 with Palmeiras on Sunday afternoon (27), at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo. Pedro scored the equalizer for Mais Querido.

O JOGO
The first half began with an intense battle for possession in midfield. Flamengo adopted a midfield strategy, making it difficult for Palmeiras to exchange passes. In the 24th minute, Mengão created a threat. Pedro received the ball at the edge of the box, adjusted, and unleashed a bomb. Goalkeeper Weverton palmed it away for a corner. In the 38th minute, Arrascaeta arrived on the left, weaved inside, and took a shot. The ball curved, and Weverton made a great save. The first half ended 0-0.

In the second half, Flamengo continued to defend tightly, leaving no space for the São Paulo team to mount offensive plays. In the 9th minute, Palmeiras opened the scoring. Patrick de Paula's shot from outside the box deflected off Thiago Maia and deceived Hugo Souza: 1-0.

Mengão then reacted quickly and tied the game in the 10th minute. Arrascaeta received the ball on the right, took it to the byline, and crossed. The ball sailed past the entire Palmeiras defense and reached Pedro, who tapped it into the back of the net: 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Flamengo created another threat. Lincoln received a beautiful pass from Arrascaeta and returned the ball. The midfielder found Pedro in the box, who pivoted, and Arrascaeta, from the penalty spot, fired a shot inches wide of Weverton's post.

Lincoln then received the ball on the left, cut inside, and shot. Weverton put it out for a corner. Flamengo, a valiant 90 minutes, still had a few chances to turn the score around, but the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Wednesday (30) to face Independiente Del Valle, at 21:30 pm, at Maracanã. The match is valid for the fifth round of the Libertadores group stage.
