On Saturday night (11), Flamengo lost to Internacional 3-1, at Beira Rio, in a match valid for the 11th round of the Brasileirão. Andreas Pereira scored the red-black goal in the match. 

 

The game

The match began with Internacional taking the lead. And in the first minute, Wanderson opened the scoring for the home team: 1-0. 

After the initial setback, Flamengo took control of possession and looked for spaces in the opposing defense. 

The red-and-black team worked the ball in attack, but lacked passing. After a midfield error, Internacional mounted a counterattack, and Wanderson doubled the lead to 2-0.

In the final stretch of the first half, Flamengo created a threat. Bruno Henrique was sent through, chipped the ball over the goalkeeper, and the ball hit the post. Gabi then shot wide.

After the break, Flamengo launched an attack. Everton Ribeiro found Bruno Henrique in the air, and the Flamengo forward fed Gabi in the middle of the box, whose shot was blocked. It had a clear target. 

And the red-and-blacks' persistence paid off. In the 13th minute, Bruno Henrique received the ball on the left and found Andreas at the edge of the box. The Belgian took the first shot and found the back of the net to reduce the score at Beira Rio to 2-1.

Flamengo fought until the end, but in the 44th minute, the referee awarded Internacional a penalty. Pedro Henrique converted the penalty, giving the final score: 3-1.

 

Next appointment

Flamengo returns to the field next Wednesday (15), to face Cuiabá, at 20:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the 12th round of the Brasileirão.
